What happens

Lou Costello learns that he is due to inherit eight hundred thousand dollars from a great-great-grandfather, and a lawyer named Melonhead comes to the house to tell him. Lou's twin brother Dewey has also made a claim to the fortune, so Lou must prove he is the elder twin. Bud Abbott helps him search the house for his birth certificate, which Lou thinks he left in a shirt sent to the laundry. The search leads the pair from the Chinese laundry toward a trip to China. This is an installment of the Abbott and Costello radio series, which aired on NBC and ABC on January 21, 1948, with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in the leads, alongside Susan Miller and Connie Haines.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
