What happens

Lou Costello's cousin, Corporal Hugo Costello, has been jailed again, and Lou wants to send him $75 he earned on a farm. His manager Bud Abbott insists on a ten percent commission, and their argument over arithmetic quickly turns into a muddle. Lou is then stopped by a motorcycle cop after a reckless drive, is charged with resisting an officer and several traffic offenses, and is taken to court. The Abbott and Costello show aired on NBC and ABC on 1944-10-19, with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello as the leads. Lou takes the stand and his brother Sebastian is called as a witness, but the outcome is not clear from the portion heard here.

A military town and a city street, then the third district courtroom and a jail.

Listen for: Abbott's arithmetic argument over the ten percent commission and the courtroom scene with Sebastian's testimony.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
