What happens

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello play two broke friends who lose their apartment and end up sleeping in a park. Costello brings home a pig he calls his own, and the two set out to find a new place to live. They first turn to a real estate office and then to a landlady, Mrs. Niles, who is wary of tenants with pets. Costello and Abbott try to sneak the pig into an apartment under a coat and a borrowed baby carriage. The episode is from the Abbott and Costello series, first broadcast on February 7, 1946, on NBC and ABC.

A city where Abbott and Costello are homeless, a farm where Costello has been working, a park, a real estate office and an apartment building run by Mrs. Niles.

Characters: Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Mrs. Niles, Mr. Melonette

Listen for: Costello's attempts to hide the pig from Mrs. Niles and the wordplay during the farm and apartment scenes.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
