What happens
Helen and her sister Mary, two mothers in suburban America in 1985, find their children absorbed in a game called Invasion. Their children, including Mink and Art, follow an imaginary leader named Drill, who they say is planning the invasion from inside a rose bush in the backyard. The children build a set of pipes and tools in the yard, insisting that the game must be finished by zero hour. Mary grows uneasy as the children grow more secretive and the household falls quiet. The episode is a radio adaptation of the Ray Bradbury story Zero Hour, presented by the National Broadcasting Company in cooperation with Street and Smith.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
