What happens

Dr. David McLean, a psychiatrist at the Chicago Institute of Human Engineering, is asked to examine George and Lydia Abbott, who bought an expensive automated home. Their children, Peter and Wendy, spend their time in a nursery that creates vivid three-dimensional scenes from their thoughts. Lately the nursery has turned into an African veldt, with lions and vultures that feel frighteningly real, and George finds signs of violence in the room. The episode is part of the X Minus One series, which aired on August 4, 1955, and was broadcast by NBC. Its cast includes Mary Patton, Bill Quinn, David Fefer, Beverly Lunsford, Charles Penman and John Larkin.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
