What happens
Peter Holmes, a father, worries about his unusually gifted six-year-old daughter Starr, who learns to read at three and seems to think far beyond her years. Her friend Robert Howell, a boy who moved in next door, has been going missing with her each afternoon. Starr explains to her father and their friend Jim Petrie that the children have been travelling through time by folding space, and they recover an ancient coin the children brought back. Peter becomes preoccupied with the problem of reaching a parallel dimension, while Ruth Howell and the local police search for the missing children.
A quiet residential neighborhood in a present-day American town, with scenes in the Holmes home, a science laboratory, and a police station.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
