What happens
Captain Thorne commands an Earth spaceship exploring the Crab-like Nebula when his crew detects an alien vessel approaching. Officer Dort volunteers to examine a strange device the aliens have released, and the two crews open a long-distance communication link. Each side grows wary of the other, and neither can see a way to part without risking destruction. The series X Minus One airs this episode, first broadcast on October 6, 1955, adapted from a story by Murray Leinster.
