What happens

Captain Wilder leads the fourth expedition to Mars, which finds an empty Martian city where the three earlier expeditions landed and vanished. Crewmen Biggs, Parkhill, and Spender, who has been troubled by the crew's behavior, drink and vandalize the ruins while the rest of the crew wait uneasily. Spender becomes increasingly disturbed by what the men are doing to the planet. The story is part of the X Minus One series, first broadcast on September 22, 1955, and is adapted from the Ray Bradbury story by Ernest Kinoy. The cast includes John Larkin, Clark Gordon, and Dick Hamilton, with Norman Rose as narrator.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
