What happens
Sam Weber, an attorney at a small law firm, receives a strange gold box dated 200 years in the future, containing a chemistry set that can build a human being. Sam is unhappy with his job and in love with Tina, a secretary who is engaged to his rival, Lou White. Alone in his apartment, he begins experimenting with the set and creates a duplicate of himself, who quickly proves to be bolder and more confident. The two Sams begin to compete over work and over Tina, and Sam's duplicate sets out to take his place in the world.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
