What happens
Pilot John Barton flies an emergency dispatch ship carrying Calafever serum to a survey team on the planet Woden. Shortly after launch he discovers a stowaway, Marilyn Lee Cross, who hid aboard to reach her estranged husband, Jerry Cross, on the planet. The ship's fuel is calculated to the exact mass it must carry, and her added weight means it cannot reach Woden and land safely. Barton must consult ship's control and the commander, who confirm that the rules and the numbers leave no alternative. As the ship nears Woden, Barton tries to reach the survey team, and the moment of decision approaches.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
