What happens
Vic and Sade, at home late one evening after a card game with Fred and Ruthie Stembottom, notice that Ruthie seems uneasy and unlike herself. Vic tells Sade she is sure Ruthie is keeping a secret, and Sade wants to hear what it is. The two of them talk it over while Vic cleans up and Sade keeps trying to get him to bed. Their conversation turns to Ruthie's behavior and the small clues Vic has picked up on. This is an episode of the Vic and Sade series, first aired on July 1, 1940, with Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
