What happens

Vic and Sade, a household in a small town, sit on the back porch while a dinner of beef pot roast cooks slowly in the kitchen. Vic receives a letter from the Lodge, which proposes a plan that lets members stay overnight at one another's homes during summer trips. As the letter is read, the family starts to consider how many guests the plan might bring to their house. The transcript breaks off partway through this discussion.

A small house in a small town, on the back porch and in the kitchen, during the day.

Characters: Vic, Sade, George, Russ, Charlie, Uncle Fletcher

Listen for: Vic reading the Lodge letter and listing the travelers who will be stopping at the house.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
