What happens

Uncle Fletcher visits Sadie at the Hopper house, finds no one answering at first, and reports that Miss Trogo has reached the wrong number on the telephone. He then explains that his friend Hank Gutstop, a hotel detective, has made him a proposition: to play a crook in the lobby of the Butler House Hotel so that Hank can show results on his worksheet. Fletcher lists his many odd jobs and asks Sadie's opinion. Sadie is plainly unenthusiastic about the scheme, and the talk turns on Hank's desperation and the disguises Fletcher would need.

The Hopper house in the small town, mid-morning, with Fletcher calling from the living room and Sadie working in the attic.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
