What happens
Vic and Sade is a radio serial about a small-town household, and this episode, aired November 20, 1941, centers on Vic and Sade Gook and their son Rush. Rush has a row with the neighbor, Nicer Scott, after Scott makes a point of their son's childish knife and fork at supper. Sade is convinced the teasing has made Rush a figure of public ridicule, and she wants to confront Scott. Vic tries to calm her while a string of phone calls and town gossip keep stirring the matter up. The transcript provided covers only part of the episode, so the outcome of the quarrel is not described here.
The Gook family's small house in a town, in the evening after supper, with the neighbor's porch next door.

Listen for: Sade's escalating outrage over Nicer Scott teasing Rush about his knife and fork, and Vic's attempts to keep the peace.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
