What happens
Victor Gork and his son Rush play rummy in the living room of their small house, and Victor scores a win. Sade Gork comes home from the Simba Club meeting, where Mrs. Appelrot has proposed a petition demanding that the city tear down the Bryce Kentucky Hotel. Mrs. Appelrot asks Sade to gather a thousand signatures, but Sade flatly refuses. The household's reactions to the scheme and to Mrs. Appelrot's zeal for organizing drive the early scenes. This Vic and Sade episode, dated March 1942, stars Bernardine Flynn and Bill Idelson.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
