What happens

Marty South, a shipwreck survivor, wakes aboard a rescue ship and is mistaken for Stephen Hastings, a businessman who died in the sinking. Lucille Hastings, his widow, persuades him to keep up the deception so they can collect money waiting for her husband in Singapore. In Singapore, Marty collects the cash from a tailor shop, but a man begins following him. Marty grows uneasy as his feelings for Lucille deepen, and a stranger named Grey offers a deal involving the Red Angel Cafe. The Whistler, an anthology series, aired this episode on February 6, 1955, with Bill Foreman as the Whistler.

A rescue ship at sea after a shipwreck, and then Singapore, including the Fort Plaza Hotel, a tailor shop, and the Red Angel Cafe.

Listen for: Lucille's scheme to pass Marty off as her dead husband, and the moment Marty realizes he is falling in love with her.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
