What happens
Ted Lucas returns after six months on the run to find Claire Henderson, his partner in a payroll robbery, at her apartment. Claire says she has kept his $30,000 share in diamonds for him and will hand it over at the bank in the morning. Ted, distrustful, stays the night on her couch and notices a man in a dark suit watching the building.
