What happens

Roy Collins returns to the Mexican village of Riondo, where he visits Lola Mendez at her cafe and asks after his old partner Dan Bosley, who has struck gold in the hills. Roy is suspicious of the village deputy Manuel Rosales, who questions his return. Roy sets out on the mountain trail toward Dan's hidden cabin in Hidden Canyon, and his thoughts keep returning to Paul Fallon, the third of the former partners, who may still be alive. This is an episode of The Whistler, the West Coast radio drama, first broadcast on January 8, 1950.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
