What happens

Jeffrey Channing, nephew of the elderly Agnes Channing, lives at Channing House in Cartertown, California. An artist, Leah Munson, begins visiting the house, and Jeffrey grows attached to her while worrying that his aunt's constant remodeling could expose a secret. Agnes is planning to tear down a wall, and Jeffrey's anxiety grows as he considers what could be found inside it. The Whistler series, first aired on August 29, 1954, presents this story of a household under strain. The transcript ends before the full resolution, so the outcome of Jeffrey's efforts is not described here.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
