What happens

Philip Collins, a wealthy American, falls in love with Gerta, a widow who has been losing money at the gaming tables in Argentina. She marries him, and they sail on his yacht toward the Mediterranean. Gerta fears being recognized in Europe because of her past, and the yacht anchors off an Italian island where a bearded painter named Conrad Marlon offers to paint her portrait. Gerta grows uneasy about the artist and the risk he poses to her new life.

Listen for: Gerta's uneasy conversations with the painter Conrad Marlon while he sketches her portrait on the island

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
