What happens
Gordon Haynes and his wife Sandra are seen off at the airport by their old friend Peter Lacey, who is uneasy about Sandra flying east alone. Gordon meets his lover Vicki Leiden secretly, and Peter, who has learned of the affair, warns Gordon to end it. Later, Gordon fears that Peter will reveal the truth to Sandra, and the story follows his growing desperation as he weighs what he might do to keep his wife's money and his secret safe.
