What happens
Paul Burns, general manager of the Silver Canyon Mine, picks up a hitchhiker on a lonely Arizona highway and recognizes him from a newspaper as Joe Norbella, a fugitive. Paul hires the young man under the name Joe Webster and installs him in the company office and guest room at the family home. Paul's wife Edith and daughter Ruth welcome the newcomer, while Paul grows anxious over his plans. This is an episode of The Whistler, broadcast on December 5, 1948, on the Signal Oil program.
