What happens

Kitty Gabbron, the happily married wife of Dr. Rims Gabbron, is confronted in her husband's office building by Niles Keating, a former newspaperman with a grudge. Keating recognizes her from her past and hints that he knows about a killing she may be connected to. As a storm breaks over the city, he rides with her in her car and reveals that he has evidence tying her to the Tim Brady case, a man who was shot in his apartment. Kitty is left frightened and unsure how much Keating knows. This is an episode of The Whistler, originally broadcast on December 12, 1948.

A city office building and the rain-swept streets of a city during a storm, with the Gabbron home as a later location.

Characters: Kitty Gabbron, Dr. Rims Gabbron, Niles Keating, Gunther, Miss Anderson, Tim Brady, Hilda

Listen for: Keating's accusation in the car that he has proof linking Kitty to the Brady killing, and Kitty's fear as he explains what he knows.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
