What happens

Chris Holmes, a young man with a talent for impersonating voices, meets Catherine Dorne at a Hong Kong party hosted by the importer Albert Van Loven. Catherine draws Chris into a scheme to hijack Van Loven's plane, which carries nearly a quarter of a million dollars, by using his voice to redirect the pilot. Chris is uneasy about Catherine's partner Simono and about the plan itself. The episode is part of The Whistler, a West Coast radio series, and was broadcast on May 22, 1949.

Listen for: Chris's uneasiness grows as he overhears Catherine and Renee arguing in the garden and realizes he may be part of a double cross.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
