What happens
Harry Farrell, a successful attorney in Phoenix, is living on his wife Anne's money and resents the financial strain. His law partner Sam Wolcott bursts into the office and confesses to shooting Anne, which Harry sees as a chance to be free. When Harry phones home and Anne answers, he realizes his plan is in trouble and rushes home with Sam's gun. The Whistler series, first broadcast on May 15, 1949 for Signal Oil, presents this story with its characters and setting in a Phoenix law office and the Farrell home on Canyon Road.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
