What happens

Scott Rainey, a San Francisco newspaper reporter, grows suspicious of his wife Evelyn's friendship with his rival, reporter Matt Krigen. After an explosion in a waterfront hotel room registered under Scott's name, Lieutenant Shaw suggests he play dead while the police investigate. Scott goes into hiding and begins tracking Krigen's movements around the waterfront, where Krigen searches for a former gambler named Corelli. Scott's suspicions take shape as he works to uncover who set the trap and why, with his jealousy pulling him in different directions.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
