What happens

Magician Jim Grafton returns to Los Angeles from a South American tour carrying counterfeit money and is confronted by his agent, Earl Crawford, in Crawford's office. A quarrel breaks out, and Grafton leaves the building with his plans in disarray. On the way out he meets a young dancer, Anita Ballard, who asks for help finding work. The story continues as Grafton begins to consider how to deal with the people around him. The Whistler, 1953, is the series; the lead actors are not named in the transcript.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
