What happens
Wally Layton, a theatrical agent, witnesses the shooting of coin dealer Amos Rentworth in his office building and is chased by the gunman. Afterward, Layton takes a rare glass dime that was left on the counter, and Rentworth's secretary, Edith Martin, proposes a scheme to sell copies of it for sixty thousand dollars. Layton is then tracked down by the killer, who knows he is the only witness. The Whistler's narration sets the tension as Layton and Martin try to escape the man who follows them along the coast road. This story is part of The Whistler radio series, first aired on July 5, 1953.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
