What happens
A jewel robbery at the Wellington jewelry store in Portland goes wrong when Joe Strickland fails to meet his partners, Terry Dexter and Mike Flegal, at their waiting car in Tigard. Mike grows suspicious and goes to the Grady Hotel, where Strickland was supposed to be heading to sell the stolen jewels to a fence named Bush. Terry waits at an all-night drugstore while the pieces of his plan fall into place. This episode from The Whistler, first broadcast on March 12, 1945, is a crime drama in which each man tries to outmaneuver the others as the night unfolds.
