What happens
Van Stevens, an engineer working on a defense job in a small coastal city, meets a young blonde woman named Doris Ridgley after a Saturday night movie. She takes him to her mansion, where he discovers a dead man hidden under her bed. Forced at gunpoint to help bury the body in the garden, Van escapes and then sets out to find Doris. The Whistler, narrated by the mysterious host of the series, tells this curious tale of danger and deception. The episode aired on March 5, 1945.
