What happens
Paul Galvin discovers the body of Mario Lavetti below the cliffs at Warham and calls the sheriff. Paul is heir to the Galvin estate, which his uncle Kurt Galvin manages. Kurt, who is off on his boat, is unsettled by the death and the questions that follow. Paul begins to suspect something is wrong when a servant reports that Lavetti was seen with a woman. Paul meets a young woman named Eva Williams, who later confesses she is Lavetti's sister and has found a letter she believes implicates Kurt. Paul is drawn into a tense confrontation with Kurt about the estate and the secrets of his family's past. The story is part of The Whistler radio series, which first aired on 1950-07-23.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
