Charlotte, a secretary, works for the wealthy Harvey Cole and has grown tired of her dull routine. Together with Stephen, Harvey's nephew, she plots to forge a suicide note so that Harvey's signature on his correspondence will appear to confirm that he took his own life. Stephen stands to inherit Harvey's fortune, and Charlotte is promised a share of it. As the scheme takes shape, Charlotte grows increasingly uneasy about her role and about Stephen's intentions. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
