The story follows Arnold through a single Monday, from his quiet dinner at home through a tense workday, as his plan seems to take shape. A middle-class home and a city business office in the 1940s, over one Monday.

Characters: Arnold Stanton, Evelyn Stanton, Miss Roberts, Mrs. Bronson, Richards, Weston Haverill

Listen for: Arnold's shifting thoughts about his wife, Miss Roberts's messages from the office, and the stranger waiting at the front door.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
