What happens

Phil Hodges, a construction company employee in Willow Pass, is offered a partnership by his old friend Jim Welch, who wants to start a business in San Francisco. Phil borrows ten thousand dollars from the company payroll, hoping his wealthy uncle will send money to cover it. When the uncle's check fails to arrive, Phil grows desperate and considers a scheme to disguise the missing money as a robbery. Claudia, the boarding house owner's daughter, urges him to think carefully about his choices as the pressure builds. Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
