What happens
George Turner resents his wife Jan's aunt Irene, who has hosted the couple in her home. After a bitter dinner quarrel, Irene threatens to separate George from Jan, and George begins to plan her death. He is approached by a furtive stranger carrying a coin with a hole in it, which belonged to George's brother Ed, a convicted killer. Ed has escaped from prison, and George agrees to pay three thousand dollars to help him get away. In the Whistler series, this episode first aired on April 21, 1947, with Howard Duff in the lead.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
