What happens

Tarzan leads Margaret Darnell, Wolf, Lawson, Tom and Darno through a barren lava country in search of Helen Gregory, who has been taken captive. On a ledge above a road, Tarzan kills a fierce, prehistoric meat-eating dinosaur that guards a cave. The party finds evidence that Helen was held there, including a scrap of her clothing and cooked meat. They continue along an ancient road, where they encounter a large prehistoric bird and carved stone death-head shrines. Darno and Tarzan sense that someone is following them. At nightfall, the group makes camp, and Wolf, keeping watch, is left in an uneasy and frightening situation.

A remote, volcanic jungle region of lava rock and an ancient road leading toward the mountain of Tuanbaka, the mountain of sunrise.

Characters: Tarzan, Margaret Darnell, Wolf, Lawson, Tom, Darno, Helen Gregory

Listen for: The roar of the dinosaur on the ledge, and Tarzan's fight to kill it with his knife.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
