What happens

Tarzan leads an expedition through the Belgian Congo after Helen Gregory vanishes from her tent. Margaret, who has admitted her love for Tarzan, and Darno are troubled by a glowing, skull-like apparition that drifts through the trees and speaks in an unfamiliar tongue before disappearing. The party crosses a sun-baked stretch of rock toward the volcanic cone of Tuenbaca, where they find a road cut straight through the landscape and a steep cliff path. Tarzan and Tom climb to a cave bearing torn scraps of cloth, and the search continues within.

The Belgian Congo, a jungle encampment, then a sun-baked rock valley beneath the volcanic cone of Tuenbaca, with a cliff and a cave.

Characters: Tarzan, Helen Gregory, Margaret, Darno, Tom, Wolf, Larsen, D'Ardo

Listen for: The glowing death's head speaking in an unfamiliar language, and the cave where Tarzan and Tom find torn cloth.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
