What happens

Tarzan and his companions lead Professor Porter's party away from the cannibals, through a silent jungle where the wind and the scent of white men are noticed before anything is seen. Tarzan warns the group against entering Numa's lair, and the party debates the risks of crossing the open ground. Commander Clayton and the others prepare for an attack, placing men behind cover and watching for arrows against the sun. Tarzan's tracking skill is tested as the cannibals draw closer, and the group must decide how to defend themselves. This Tarzan episode, from the novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs, starred James H. Pierce as Tarzan, and was broadcast on 1932-11-29.

The African jungle, including a hollow, a lion's lair and a clearing near Professor Porter's house.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
