What happens
Jane Porter is carried off through the jungle by a bull ape named Kerchak's rival, Tarzan, the ape man, hears her screams and tracks her through the trees. Her father, Professor Porter, and Clayton and Philander search the jungle below, unable to find their way. Tarzan confronts the ape Terkoz, kills him with his hunting knife, and rescues Jane. She is frightened, and he tries to calm her, gradually learning a few English words from her. Based on the Tarzan series, this radio adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel first aired on October 10, 1932.

Listen for: Tarzan's victory call echoing through the jungle after he kills the ape.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
