What happens

Tarzan and Terrence O'Rourke are held as slaves in the Torian jewel pits, where they plan with fellow prisoners to free themselves before the Feast of Pantu Games. Queen Ataya, who has tried repeatedly to win Tarzan's affection, has told Jeanette Burton that she will become the mate of Mungo after he kills his opponent in the public arena. Meanwhile, Darno and Uka escape from a Torian patrol in the jungle and reach Darno's father, who agrees to attack Tor on Tarzan's behalf. Tension rises in the pits when a prisoner attacks O'Rourke, and the queen's suspicion turns to Jeanette after the key to the jewel cave goes missing.

The city of Tor and its jewel pits, and the surrounding jungle, including a river and a waterhole where elephants gather.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
