What happens
Tarzan and Oruk are working in the jewel pits of Tor, where slaves are being picked for a gladiatorial feast. Queen Ateor is pressing Jeanette Burton to accept her forced marriage to the warrior Mungo, and has promised her to whoever wins a combat against Tarzan. Meanwhile Darno and Uka escape a Tor patrol by riding an elephant, which joins a stampede. Their mount tires, and at a waterhole they find that the fleeing herd has left them in danger from a returning patrol. The episode ends with Darno and Uka hiding among the trees as the riders approach.
