What happens
Tarzan and his companions are captured by yellow giants and taken to the distant city of Tor, where they are brought before Queen Ataya. Tongo, a chief of the clawmen, arrives to claim the right of personal combat against Tarzan, who has killed several of his men. Tarzan accepts the challenge and faces the giant in a fight within the great chamber. The party is then taken to the Hall of Sacrifice, where a captive is bound to an iron grill above the fires of Tor. Ataya's guards restrain Tarzan and his friends, and the queen makes her demands known to Tarzan.
