What happens
Tarzan and his companions, captured by yellow giants, are brought before Queen Artea in the jungle city of Tor. After Tarzan defeats the giant Tongo in single combat, Artea grants the group the freedom of the city, then forces them to watch a sacrifice in the Chamber of Sacrifice. She gives Tarzan an ultimatum: he must stay as her mate, or everyone will die. Confined to a palace suite, the whites argue over escape and worry about Jeanette's safety. Tarzan and Dr. Wong are summoned to Artea at night and led through a narrow tunnel deep beneath the palace, while their friends wait anxiously behind.
