What happens
Tarzan and Darno come upon the survivors of the Burtan-Ashley expedition, Genet Burtan, Dr. Wong Tai, Terrence O'Rourke and Jeanette, lost deep in an unfamiliar stretch of jungle. Tarzan kills a huge yellow-skinned creature that threatens the party, hides the captives high in a tree, and leads them toward the river. Hearing strange voices, they make a desperate run for a dugout canoe, but the yellow men spot them and overwhelm the group. Tarzan and Darno are bound, and O'Rourke is taken to the river's edge, where the savages call the crocodiles. Darno works at the knots on Tarzan's bonds as the captives wait to learn their fate.
