What happens
Stranded in the jungle after their safari deserts them, Major Burton Ashley, Jeanette Burton, Terrence O'Rourke and Dr. Wong Tai camp by a waterhole. Tarzan rescues O'Rourke from a lion and a leopard and agrees to lead the group toward a native village. Later, a monstrous yellow-skinned half-human creature enters the firelight and hurls a spear at Tarzan, who kills it with his knife. The group learns of Tarzan's upbringing among the great apes and of his past as Lord Greystoke. Tarzan then leads them up into the trees, away from the sound of approaching drums, to spend the night on a platform of interwoven branches.
