What happens
Tarzan and Lieutenant Darnot rescue Terrence O'Rourke from a lion and a leopard in the South Central African jungle. O'Rourke had been following the tracks of a strange half-human creature when he was attacked. The two men lead him back to the camp of Major Bertin Ashley, Jeanette Burton, and Dr. Wong Tai, who have been deserted by their safari and are lost. Ashley explains that the party was searching for a place called the city of Thore. Tarzan agrees to guide them toward a native village. That night, the group hears a strange sound near the fire, and a monstrous yellow-skinned creature appears at the edge of the clearing.
The trackless jungles of South Central Africa, near a small clearing where the Ashley party has made camp.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
