What happens
Tarzan and his companions are caught in a camp attack after a tornado wrecks the Gregory expedition. Native bearers desert with most of the supplies, and Larsen goes missing and later returns wounded after escaping capture. When war drums sound and a crazed group of natives charges the clearing, the party fights back, and Gregory is killed by a spear. The German Toma then demands a map showing the route to Ambaka, and he sets his terms through a tense standoff with the captives.
