What happens
Tarzan and his companions camp on the bank of a tributary of the Ubangi River when a tornado wrecks their camp and their bearers desert with most of the supplies. Lassen, the Swedish hunter, has vanished, and Wolf offers to search for him. Left alone, the group is threatened when a band of great apes surrounds them, and Tarzan returns just as one ape seizes Helen from her father's arms. Tarzan fights the huge ape barehanded and forces it to submit, then speaks to the other apes in their own language, and they retreat into the jungle. Back at the camp, the cleanup continues and Tarzan shows Helen and Margaret his bow and arrows. Larsen reappears with news of the desertion, and as night falls the sound of war drums draws close to the camp, and the group prepares to defend itself. Tarzan's story is an adventure of the African jungle, from the Tarzan series.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
