What happens
Ralph Vernon, a small-time thief with a gun, answers a newspaper advertisement for a silver mink coat. He visits Mrs. Phelps at her home to look at the coat and make an offer. Her husband is away and she has agreed to sell quickly, so the visit proceeds on her terms. Vernon's plan for the coat and what he does next form the core of the story. Robert Cummings stars in this Suspense episode, which aired on January 25, 1954.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
