What happens

Walter Faber and his wife Eleanor are strained after a quarrel over his unfinished play. Eleanor records a tearful message on a record, and the couple walks their dog Tracy, later stopping at Joe Weiss's cafe, where Eleanor's remarks alarm the owner. Walter and Eleanor then go down to the river in the rain, and when Eleanor is later missing, Walter and Joe search for her at the apartment. The episode is part of the Suspense series, with Dana Andrews in the lead role.

Listen for: Eleanor's recorded message on the record, and the way the dog Tracy behaves around Walter and Joe

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
